Eastern
Tar Private Limited (ETPL), a coal tar distillation plant, was commissioned
in 1982-83 as an ancillary to Tata Steel, the largest private sector
steel plant in India. Today, Eastern Tar is a supplier of high quality
coal tar products for the steel, refractory, graphite, aluminum, carbon
black and chemical industries. We manufacture a wide range of coal tar
products suitable for different industry applications. The product specifications
are as per customer requirements and industry standards.
The products from this ISO-9000:2000 certified company are manufactured to the relevant standards. ETPL has a well equipped Quality Assurance and Application Research laboratory. The laboratory is responsible for:
- testing of raw materials and products,
- process calibration and
- product development.
Raw Material - Coal Tar
Eastern Tar has been procuring most of its main raw material - Coal Tar from Tata Steel and other steel plants of the Steel Authority of India Ltd. The coal tar from these integrated steel plants is of uniform and reliable quality. The benefit of an assured supply of high quality raw material is available downstream to our customers.
